Fred Andreas has more than 30 years experience in sustainable design in architecture, urban design/planning and preservation projects throughout the U.S. His experience includes all phases of sustainable development from the very early schematic and planning phases to final project closeout. Sustainable project types have included historic preservation, retail/mixed use, large scale urban design aquariums/marinas, affordable multi-family residential, urban design/city center, commercial/office, and public/institutional. Pete Dignan is the Executive Director of CORE. His career started in the environmental sector, where he worked as a hydrologist creating simulation models in support of Clean Water Act permitting. Later he moved into business, specifically information technology, where he served in a variety of technical, sales and marketing management roles. In 1998 Pete founded ProtoTest, a services business focused on software testing. He is a member of Net Impact, and sits on the board of CSIA (Colorado's Technology Association), and the board of mobile software startup Soteria Systems. Pete holds a BA in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia. He has called Colorado home since 1988.

John Hickenlooper, Governor of the State of Colorado, was a geologist-turned brewpub pioneer who had never run for political office. He ran for and was elected Mayor of Denver in 2003 and re-elected in 2007. In April 2005, less than 2 years into his first term, Time Magazine named the political newcomer one of the top five "big-city" mayors in America. In his State of the City address on July 12, 2006, Hickenlooper announced an initiative called Greenprint Denver to promote sustainable development and practices and reduce citywide greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the 2006 U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement. The initiative, guided by a leadership group of city and community members, features a series of goals to meet over a five-year period. Hickenlooper was an executive member of the Denver 2008 Convention Host Committee and helped lead the successful campaign for Denver to host the landmark 2008 Democratic National Convention. On November 2nd, 2010, at 8:45 MST, CNN projected that Hickenlooper would be the next Governor of Colorado.
Blake Jones is the president of Namasté Solar, a 100% employee-owned solar electric company based in Colorado. He began his career working for Halliburton in the oil and gas industry before spending three years in Nepal implementing solar, wind, hydro, and electric vehicle technologies. Seth Levine's career spans venture capital investing as well as operational, transactional and advisory roles at both public and private companies. Prior to co-founding Foundry Group, Seth began his venture capital career at Mobius Venture Capital. Prior to Mobius, he joined a restart of the data communications company, FirstWorld Communications. His goal on the new management team was to transition what had been a traditional competitive local exchange carrier ("CLEC") into the data and Internet world. Seth also led the IPO process for FirstWorld's IPO in 2000 and negotiated simultaneous equity investments from Microsoft, SAIC and Lucent Technologies. When the company decided to focus on its data center and hosting business, Seth assumed operational control of the remainder of the business and led the Internet service provider, telephony and network integration portions of the company, representing in total approximately $40 million in revenue. He managed the sale of these lines of business in 2011. Prior to FirstWorld, Seth joined the business development group of ICG Communications. Previously, he was an investment banker in Morgan Stanley's telecommunications corporate finance practice. He is a graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Josh Palmer grew up in the Finger Lakes region of NY and ventured west for the sun of Arizona, where he fell in love with the west and ended up with a degree in Environment Studies and Adventure Education from Prescott College. He furthered his journey for sun and warm places by heading south to Baja California Sur, Mexico where he worked for 3 years guiding extended sea kayaking and whale watching trips as both guide and naturalist. When one of the seasons ended, he found himself looking for a life in Colorado. After a Grand Canyon River trip, Josh began working at Grant Family Farms doing odd jobs, when a conversation with Andy Grant spurred the idea to look at developing a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. After doing some homework on the CSA model, he set out to support the first year's efforts with 127 members on board. After the first season of the CSA, he took over the Director position and has not only been behind the scenes but also in the front of the CSA program with Grant Family Farms for the past 3 years, as membership has increased to nearly 5,000.
Alison Peters oversees development and implementation of the Deming Center's strategic plan, including student programs, communications, and financial management. She also oversees the Center's sustainable entrepreneurship program, managing business partnerships and developing student programs with cutting-edge industries such as cleantech, natural products and sustainable venturing. She provides project management for cross-campus research activities in the area of alternative vehicles.
Mary Catherine (Cathy) Ramsey has over 30 years experience in managing the development, design, procurement, construction, and operations of power generation facilities including combined cycle and simple cycle fossil fuel fired facilities, reciprocating engine facilities, wind, solar and geothermal facilities. In her current position at Newmont, she is responsible for the development and implementation of energy and energy efficiency projects for Newmont's global mining operations.
Lisa Rephlo is the Energy Conservation and Management Principal for MWH. Lisa works with MWH's Resource Efficiency Management group, providing clean energy, energy efficiency, sustainability and climate services to MWH clients. Lisa's 10 years of experience in MWH includes energy, construction and information technology. Prior to joining MWH, Lisa had 10 years working across energy efficiency, traditional power generation, distributed generation, and ice storage for district heating and cooling with ComEd/Exelon in Chicago. She has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University and an MBA in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Chicago. She has served on the Citizens Board of the Fort Collins Electric Utility and is currently participating on the Infrastructure Advisory Board of the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure.
Howard Rohm is President and CEO of the Balanced Scorecard Institute. Howard has helped dozens of organizations worldwide create strategic plans and balanced scorecards. He co-authored the first National Energy Plan, Creating Energy Choices for the Future, in 1976. Howard developed the Institute's Nine Steps to Success(tm) methodology, and has trained 3000 people in 20 countries. Howard helped create the Association for Strategic Planning's Body of Knowledge and Certification exams.
Martha E. Rudolph serves as the Director of Environmental Programs for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, providing oversight to the Air Quality, Hazardous Materials and Waste Management, Water Quality and Consumer Protection divisions.
Steve Savage has been instrumental in increasing awareness of environmental issues and sustainability for the past 20 years as the Founder and Former CEO of Eco-Products. He is a committed conservationist and entrepreneur who is continually searching for new ways to provide effective and innovative "green" products into the mainstream. Steve’s has also launched a successful environmental department store called Ellie’s Eco Home Store in Boulder, which offers thousands of healthy environmental products for the home and office. Currently, Steve is mostly focused on filling the void between Eco-Products a manufacturer and Ellie’s a retailer with a wholesale company of natural products called National Eco Wholesale; otherwise known as NEW. Steve is originally from Boulder Colorado and received a Bachelors of Economics from Kansas University.
Auden Schendler is Vice President of Sustainability at Aspen Skiing Company. He worked previously in corporate sustainability at Rocky Mountain Institute. Auden has been a trailer insulator, burger flipper, ambulance medic, Outward Bound instructor, high school math and English teacher, freelance writer, and Forest Service goose nest island builder. An avid outdoorsman, Auden has climbed Denali, North America's highest peak, and kayaked the Grand Canyon in winter. His writing has been published in Harvard Business Review, the L.A. Times, Slate, Scientific American, Orion, Rock and Ice, Salon and other media, and his work has been covered in Outside, Fast Company, Travel and Leisure and Businessweek.. He was named a global warming innovator by TIME magazine and a Climate Saver by the EPA. Auden has testified to congress on the impacts of climate change on public lands, and speaks widely on sustainability. His book Getting Green Done: Hard Truths from the Front Lines of the Sustainability Revolution was called "an antidote to greenwash" by NASA climatologist James Hansen. Auden lives in Basalt, Colorado with his wife Ellen and their children, Willa and Elias.
Tisha Conoly Schuller serves as President & Chief Executive Officer of the Colorado Oil & Gas Association. As President, Ms. Schuller is responsible for leading the industry in Colorado legislative, regulatory, and public relations matters. Previously, Ms. Schuller served as a Principal and Vice President with Tetra Tech, a national environmental consulting and engineering firm. In addition to running business operations, Ms. Schuller has spent the last 15 years conducting environmental permitting for oil and natural gas projects across the country. She has a B.S. in Earth Systems with an emphasis in Geology from Stanford University.
Gerard Spicer, as Technical Administrator for PepsiCo's Frito-Lay facility in Denver, is involved daily in environmental affairs, resource conservation, security and capital projects. Under his leadership, the facility recently achieved the status of "Zero-Landfill." In 2010, the facility was recognized as an "Environmental Gold Leader" by the CDPHE as well as a charter member of the Governor's Energy Office "Industrial Energy Challenge" to reduce GHG emissions. Gerard oversees the site's Green Team that promotes sustainability.
Toria Thompson is the owner and founder of Organizational Patterns, a consultancy committed to bringing about rapid, human-centered organizational change. Toria has over 20 years' experience in building high performing teams, facilitating diverse groups toward common goals and mediating charged situations. She has worked as a team building guide, leadership coach and organizational change consultant. Her current passion is to use practices from Agile Software Development and insights from Agile's inspiration -- Architectural Pattern Language developed by Christopher Alexander -- to bring work back to being created on a human scale and as an emergent part of the organizational system.
Brian Vogt is CEO of Denver Botanic Gardens since 2007. Prior to being at the Gardens, he worked for State of Colorado as Director, Office of Economic Development and International Trade, Secretary of Technology and as Executive Director of Department of Local Affairs. He was also President of South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce. His community involvement is broad, and includes sitting on boards, managing campaigns and educational initiatives.
Gerri Walsh is Director, Sustainability, for Ball Corporation, a provider of metal packaging for beverages, foods and household products and the owner of Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. She has been employed at Ball for 22 years, the last 5 in her current position. She is responsible for Ball's sustainabiity reporting and driving progress on sustainability internally, as well as being the company liaison in local and national trade organizations related to sustainability and recycling.

She is Managing Principal of Equinox Consultancy LLC, a woman-owned, management consulting business in operation since 1989 serving private industry, non-profit (NGO) and public sector clients. Core competencies include: strategic planning, organizational learning, environmental sustainability strategy, corporate responsibility, governance, management systems, external reporting and internal communications, stakeholder engagement, change leadership and innovation.
Jeff Yorzyk is a senior consultant at PE/Five Winds. He is currently product manager for the Corporate Sustainability product line, which consists of an offering that integrates enterprise data collection, analysis and reporting software with process-oriented management consulting services. He has a combination of academic and professional experience in process engineering, environmental science, organizational psychology and business that provides unique insight into the technical, scientific, and business factors influencing the life cycle impact of strategic decisions in product chemistry and business operations. He has developed a strong capacity-building approach to his consulting work that recognizes the critical human component to any successful sustainability project. Jeff is a Professional Engineer registered in Colorado, and holds an MBA from University of Colorado at Boulder, an MS in Environmental Science & Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette College. He is a founding board member for CORE, Colorado's leading sustainable business association.
