Andrew joined Montreux Energy at its outset in Switzerland in 1990, organizing CEO-level energy investment strategy roundtables in Europe, the U.S., and China. Over 4,000 senior industry, government, and international leaders have taken part in the Montreux Roundtables. In 1997, Andrew opened and managed the London office for Montreux Energy, and began clean energy roundtables in Aspen, California, Washington, and Cambridge, England. He is currently leading CityDesign, which looks at cities as living energy and infrastructure systems, and CalMobility, which convenes leaders in the California transportation industry. Andrew is also building the energy practice for McAleer Gray, a boutique Denver recruiting firm.
Andrew is the former general partner of Hydrogenica Partners LP, an investment fund devoted to hydrogen and clean energy. Andrew began his career in 1985 at Merrill Lynch in New York, worked with the International Energy Agency / OECD in Paris from 1988 to 1989, before joining Montreux Energy. He gained his interest in energy working on an off-shore production platform in the North Sea for Denver-based Hamilton Brothers Oil & Gas Company. Andrew attended Middlebury College (Economics) and the Colorado School of Mines (Mineral Economics), and has studied at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. Andrew has served on the Board of Trustees of the Denver Botanic Gardens. He and his wife Wendy and their three sons enjoy cycling, tennis, skiing, and hockey.
