Beth Shiroishi

AT&T

Assistant Vice President

Beth Shiroishi is assistant vice president, citizenship and sustainability with AT&T.  In this capacity, she has responsibility for integrating sustainability throughout the company’s operations; strategy development; contributing to initiative development; developing and communicating AT&T’s positions; and managing stakeholder relationships.

Ms. Shiroishi was appointed to this position in March 2008 to assist with the company’s accelerated focus on citizenship and sustainability.  AT&T approaches sustainability as encompassing issues that intersect the needs of society with the needs of the company.  Current priorities include energy efficiency, electronic waste, supply chain engagement, privacy and security and workforce readiness.

Prior to this position, Ms. Shiroishi was senior director- regulatory policy and planning, with responsibility for network and services transformation.  Past regulatory responsibilities included policy, advocacy, and compliance for a wide range of issues dealing with network, wholesale, broadband and Voice over Internet Protocol services.

Ms. Shiroishi has been with AT&T for more than ten years, after joining BellSouth in 1998. She has held positions in various areas including pricing, product management (local interconnection, switched access and collocation) and interconnection agreement negotiations.  Just prior to joining the regulatory department, she served as a director in the interconnection services group, overseeing the negotiations of all interconnection and resale agreements with Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLECs).
